Divisions of Major Tool & Machine
Providing Custom Manufacturing solutions is the keystone from which Major Tool was built. For over 60 years we have combined industrial know-how with state-of-the-art manufacturing practices. The result allows us to provide unique solutions to the design, development, manufacture, assembly and testing of critical application hardware. Much of this hardware is now deployed world wide as leading aerospace, defense, energy, industrial, materials management, nuclear applications, power generation, pulsed power, and security technologies.
The Production Division of Major Tool & Machine consists of the Medium Production group and the Dedicated Production group all reporting to the Production Facility Manager. The Production Division has machining, welding, inspection, non-destructive testing and assembly capability. Below is a breakdown of the two groups that make up the Production Division.
Major Tool & Machine has added a dedicated production line to meet a customer’s specific need. The line produces a single part and utilizes 70,000 sq. ft. of floor space with equipment designed to do just one job. Major Tool’s engineering team specified all the equipment and a shop layout to optimize part flow. Incoming raw material is rough machined, robotically welded, finished machined, grit blasted, cleaned, vacuum tested and robotically painted to produce a finished part. Major Tool & Machine has the resources to design, engineer and execute a plan to meet your dedicated production requirements.
Major Tool & Machine applies our combination of unique equipment and skilled personnel to meet the growing demands of the nuclear industry.
Our nuclear manufacturing facility integrated within our single campus. Customers from a wide range of industries including commercial nuclear, Naval nuclear, and Department of Energy (DOE) rely on Major Tool’s capabilities to meet their need for precision fabricated and machined assemblies.
Specifications and requirements for fabricating, machining, assembling and testing of nuclear hardware call for specialized manufacturing methods, equip¬ment, facilities and skill sets. Our employee qualifications and facilities comply with the rigorous specifications of both nuclear customers and regulatory authorities and adhere to the most stringent quality assurance requirements in the industry.
As the world evolves, so has Major Tool.
Today, our world-class manufacturing services yield the highest quality hardware deployed throughout the European, Asian, African, and American continents. In addition to bringing “power to the people around the world”, through our various industrial gas turbine hardware emplacements, much of the aerospace, clean energy, defense, industrial, and oil & gas hardware components and systems we manufacture are destined for international deployment and use. As well, several emerging market technologies with which we are integrally involved are borne through our collaboration with international partnerships and are destined for global use.
