Major Tool & Machine utilizes various quality management software modules that ensure customer specific requirements are communicated and complied with throughout the organization.
• Quality Assurance Planning (QAP) – During contract review, specific documentation requirements are recorded into QAP. As products are manufactured, all required certifications and test reports are linked so that a data package may be generated just in time for the product’s final inspection and shipment.
• Specification Control Log – This software allows us to scan/import and catalog specifications and standards into a common database that may be accessed throughout the organization.
• Librarian – This software allows us to scan/import and catalog drawings from a wide variety of formats into a common database that may be accessed throughout the organization.
• Inspection Data Checklist (IDC) System – With our IDC system we can define various dimensional (including GD&T) and non-dimensional characteristics which require inspection. Only personnel who have been qualified shall be authorized to electronically sign off customer IDCs upon acceptance of each characteristic.
• Nonconformance (NC) System – This system allows us to record and track product dispositions, root causes, and corrective actions. The comprehensive reporting features allow us to perform in-depth trend analysis necessary to identify and correct areas of potential problems.
